A Tauranga, New Zealand woman says a brain tumour caused a rare hormone disorder that left her unrecognisable as she developed facial hair and rapid changes to her body before it was diagnosed.
Hannah Cadwallader, 34, went 10 years without answers before learning she had Cushing’s disease, a form of Cushing’s syndrome, caused by a pituitary tumour that triggers the overproduction of the hormone cortisol.
