43 yr old female- trying to get diagnosed
I have about 41 out of 42 Cushing Symptoms
Have been diagnosed as insulin resistant and as of recent was told I am not insulin resistant
Have had one Dex Suppression test – negative and 2 – 24 hour urine negative
I am at a complete loss- Can I have Cushing’s and these test come back negative?

Annette, I posted your bio at http://cushings.invisionzone.com/index.php?/topic/54189-can-you-help-annette/ also, hoping someone could help.
So far, you have a response.

I’m also negative for Dex Suppression and normal midnight salivaries, but my Endo still suspects I have it (He’s a cushing’s and HPA expert) calling it Intermittent Cushing’s which means I have burst of hypercortisolemia at random times
I hope she reads this and doesn’t give up“

I have had every lab run for autoimmune that you can imagine in the past 6 months. My SED rate is high along with a few others that are off somewhat, but nothing definitive. My Endo does not believe in Saliva test? He is a fan of the Dex Suppression. I am repeating the Dex sometime soon. I am not sure it will make a difference for the Dex test if I think I am high or low? He stated at the last appt. that the skin on my hips was thinning and the stretch marks were from Cortisol- Now to catch a high- Get the test ordered to catch a high. The waiting is the worst, but I am hoping they can figure something out soon.
Thanks so much!
